Check the fit before riding: the SlideLock closure only slides one way, so pull each strap through until the top of the boot seals firmly around your calf, then confirm every buckle is engaged in the Over-lock position.
Knock off mud and grit after every ride — dried dirt in the buckle teeth and the SlideLock track is the main cause of closures not seating properly.
Clean the outer with warm water, a soft brush and mild soap; avoid solvents, petrol, brake cleaner and harsh degreasers, which can damage the polymer buckles and bonded areas.
Dry the boots at room temperature with the closures open and away from direct sunlight, heaters, exhausts or a fire; forced heat can shrink and harden the materials.
Pull the boots open and let the 3D mesh liner air out fully between rides to keep them breathable and reduce odour.
Inspect the buckles, straps, stainless steel bases and sole before each ride for cracks, wear or missing hardware, and replace damaged parts through Leatt or your dealer rather than riding on them.
Allow a short break-in period of a few rides so the liner and ankle area mould to your foot.
Keep the sole clean and check tread wear regularly, as a worn or oily sole reduces grip on the foot pegs and when putting a foot down.
Store in a cool, dry place, upright and unstacked, so the ankle and shin sections keep their shape.
Replace the boots after a heavy crash or any impact that deforms the shell, sole or ankle structure, even if the damage looks cosmetic.
