Knock off dry dirt and rinse mud from the ripstop panels before it sets — dried grit accelerates abrasion at the seat and knees.
Close all YKK zippers and empty the thigh and yoke pockets before washing so sliders and stitching are not stressed.
Wash separately in cool water with a mild detergent; wash inside out to protect the outer panels and the leather knee patches.
Avoid bleach, solvents and fabric softener — softeners coat the MoistureCool lining and reduce its moisture-moving and anti-odour performance.
Do not tumble dry or iron; hang to dry in the shade, as heat and prolonged direct sunlight can harden the leather knees and damage the silicone waist grip.
Keep the 360° silicone waistband free of detergent residue with a plain water wipe so it keeps gripping your jersey or belt.
Wear the pants over the boot's inner cuff as intended for the in-boot fit, and set the waist micro-adjuster before riding rather than over-tightening a belt.
Check the multi-row stitching, knee leather and zipper sliders periodically, especially after a crash, and repair small tears early before they run through the ripstop.
Store clean and completely dry on a hanger in a cool, ventilated place — never packed away damp in a gear bag.
