The Leatt 5.5 FlexLock Enduro is a mid-tier off-road boot built around Leatt's FlexLock concept, which lets the ankle flex sideways a small amount before locking out. The result is a boot that reduces the loads passed into the ankle and knee without feeling like a plaster cast, and it stays comfortable across long days in the saddle.
It suits enduro, trail and off-road riders who spend as much time on the pegs and pushing the bike as they do sitting down. The Enduro-pattern sole grips loose ground when you're walking or hiking the bike out, the flat inner face gives clean contact with the frame, and the low-profile toe box keeps gear changes easy.

- Allow a short break-in period — wear the boots around the house or on a few easy rides so the flex zones and liner settle before a long day out.
- Set the FlexLock lower-boot flex adjustment to your preference before riding, and re-check it if you change riding style or terrain.
- Close the SlideLock closure by sliding it up until it locks; check the buckles and straps are fully engaged before every ride.
- Rinse mud and grit off with clean water and a soft brush as soon as practical after riding — dried mud is abrasive and works into the closure hardware and sole tread.
- Do not machine wash the boots or use harsh solvents, petrol or degreasers on them.
- Air-dry at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, heaters and exhausts; remove the liner insole where possible so the inside dries fully.
- Keep the aluminium buckles and stainless steel bases clean and free of grit so the Over-lock mechanism operates smoothly.
- Inspect the buckles, straps, sole and stitching regularly; replace worn or damaged parts rather than riding on them, and retire the boots after a heavy crash impact.
- Store upright in a cool, dry place, not compressed under other gear, so the shells hold their shape.
