Powervolt 12V Nano-Gel Battery - MG 7L-A (YB7L-B) MF

The Powervolt MG 7L-A is a 12-volt nano-gel motorcycle battery supplied in maintenance-free (MF) form. It is a direct replacement for applications specified with the YB7L-B battery reference, so it suits a range of smaller-capacity motorcycles and scooters that use that fitment.

Gel-type construction means the electrolyte is immobilised rather than free-flowing, and the maintenance-free design removes the need for routine topping up in service. It is intended for riders replacing a tired or flat original battery with a like-for-like unit.

Check your owner's manual or the old battery for the correct reference (YB7L-B) and terminal orientation before fitting.
Charge the battery fully before first use and before storing it, using a charger with a gel or gel-compatible setting.
Disconnect the negative terminal first when removing the old battery and reconnect it last when fitting the new one.
Keep the terminals clean, dry and firmly tightened; do not overtighten the terminal bolts.
As a maintenance-free gel battery, it is not designed to be opened or topped up with electrolyte — keep the case sealed.
If the bike is used infrequently or stored over winter, keep the battery on a compatible smart/maintenance charger, or recharge it periodically to avoid deep discharge.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources; keep it upright and away from sparks and open flame.
Avoid repeated deep discharges and jump-starting where possible, as both shorten battery life.
Do not incinerate or dispose of in general waste — return the battery to a recycling point or battery retailer.
