The Polisport MX Restyle Kit is a complete bodywork package for the Yamaha YZ125 and YZ250 from 2002 to 2021. Unlike a standard replacement plastics kit, this one is a full restyle: along with the fenders, shrouds, side panels, number plate and fork guards, it includes a fuel tank, seat and airbox so the whole profile of the bike changes rather than just the panels.
It suits riders bringing an older two-stroke back to life after a season of knocks and sun fade, or anyone wanting a fresh look for a rebuild or project bike. Every component is injection moulded for an OEM-type fit and finished in durable gloss polypropylene, so panels line up with existing mounting points and hold their shine.
Supplied in the Yamaha-inspired colourway of blue fenders, shrouds and seat, white side panels and front number plate, and black tank, airbox and fork guards.

- Fit the kit with the engine and exhaust completely cold, and lay the panels out in the sun beforehand — warm plastic is more flexible and easier to align without stressing the mounting tabs.
- Start every fastener by hand and only nip them up once all panels are located; over-tightening bolts against plastic is the most common cause of cracked mounting tabs.
- Inspect the rubber grommets, collars and washers from the original bodywork and replace any that are perished, as they carry the vibration load rather than the plastic itself.
- Before riding, refit the fuel tap, breather hose and fuel line to the new tank, then check for leaks and confirm the breather is routed clear of the exhaust and steering.
- Re-check all bodywork fasteners after the first ride or two, then periodically — vibration will loosen them as the plastics settle.
- Wash with warm water and a mild detergent using a soft sponge or microfibre cloth. Avoid petrol, brake cleaner, solvents and abrasive pads, which will dull or craze the gloss finish.
- Keep high-pressure washers well back from the panels, decals and airbox, and never aim directly at seams, edges or the air filter area.
- Wipe fuel spills off the tank and shrouds straight away rather than letting them sit on the surface.
- Store the bike out of prolonged direct sunlight where practical; the plastic is UV resistant but shade will keep the gloss and colour longer.
- Apply decals to clean, dry, degreased panels and work out air bubbles from the centre outwards for the best adhesion.
