Description

A complete replacement plastics kit from Polisport for the Yamaha YZ250F (2014-2018) and YZ450F (2014-2017). It covers every major body panel on the bike in one go, so a machine with faded, scratched or cracked plastics can be brought back to a clean, factory-blue look in an afternoon.

The parts are injection moulded for an OEM-type fit, using durable gloss polypropylene that resists UV and holds its shine. Suited to motocross and off-road riders refreshing a well-used bike, prepping for a re-graphic, or replacing damaged panels after a crash.

Operations & maintenance

Check your model and year against the fitment list before fitting, as YZ250F and YZ450F body panels changed across these generations.
Fit the kit in a warm workspace or leave the panels in the sun for a short time first — warm plastic flexes more easily and lines up on the mounting points with less force.
Retain and reuse your original bolts, washers, grommets and well nuts, and replace any that are stripped or perished before assembly.
Start every fastener by hand and only nip them up once all panels are located; over-tightening is the most common cause of cracked mounting tabs.
Re-check all fasteners after the first ride, then periodically, as vibration and landings can loosen panel bolts.
Wash with warm water and a mild detergent using a soft sponge or microfibre cloth, then rinse and dry.
Keep petrol, brake cleaner, solvents and harsh degreasers off the plastics — they dull the gloss finish and can craze the surface.
Avoid holding a pressure washer close to panel edges and mounting points; use a wide fan pattern at a distance.
Use a dedicated plastic polish or gloss restorer to bring back shine on scuffed panels.
Store or park the bike out of prolonged direct sunlight where practical to slow fading, and let panels cool before washing a hot bike.
Apply graphics only to clean, dry, degreased plastic, and let new panels come up to room temperature first for better adhesion.
