Clean plastics with mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth or sponge; avoid abrasive pads that may scratch or dull the surface finish.
Do not use petroleum-based solvents, acetone, or harsh degreasers — these can degrade the plastic and cause colour fading.
Apply a UV-resistant plastic protectant after cleaning to help preserve the colour and reduce long-term sun damage.
Inspect mounting tabs, bolts, and grommets after each ride for looseness or stress cracking, and re-torque fasteners as required.
Replace any structurally compromised panels promptly — cracked plastics can snag or splinter during a fall and pose an injury risk.
When fitting the kit, follow the original torque sequence for panel bolts to avoid cracking mounting points on new plastic.
Store spare panels and the bike away from prolonged direct sunlight or extreme heat to minimise warping and colour degradation.
