The Pirelli MT60 is a dual-purpose rear tyre in the 130/80-17 size, built for riders who split their time between sealed roads and dirt. - Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified tyre technician; a tubeless tyre must be mounted on a rim rated for tubeless use.
- Observe any rotation-direction arrow moulded into the sidewall when fitting.
- Ride gently for the first few rides so the new tread surface can scrub in and the mould-release finish wears off before hard cornering or braking.
- Set and check pressures cold, using the pressures specified in your motorcycle's owner's manual or on the swingarm/chain-guard placard; check at least fortnightly and before long rides.
- If you drop pressures for unsealed surfaces, stay within the limits set by your motorcycle and rim manufacturer, and restore road pressures before returning to sealed roads.
- Recheck wheel balance and pressure after the first ride, and again after any wheel removal.
- Inspect regularly for cuts, bulges, embedded stones between the knobs, and uneven or squared-off wear; remove trapped debris before it works deeper into the tread.
- Replace the tyre before it reaches the minimum legal tread depth in your state, and after any impact damage or sidewall damage.
- Clean with mild soap and water only; keep petrol, oils, solvents and silicone tyre dressings off the tread and sidewalls.
- Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, fuels and electric motors, and do not exceed the load and speed ratings marked on the sidewall.
