The Pirelli Diablo Rosso Sport is a cross-ply road tyre built for underbones, scooters and small-displacement sports and touring machines. This 130/70-17 M/C 62S TL fitment is a tubeless size most commonly used at the rear, and is supplied as a single tyre.

It borrows its tread design and profile from Pirelli's racing family, so it holds a predictable line through lean transitions while the compound keeps working on wet and low-grip city surfaces. The trade-off Pirelli has aimed for here is everyday — grip and steering feel for spirited riding, with even wear and sensible mileage for daily commuting.

  • Cross-ply (bias) construction designed for underbones and small-displacement sports and touring bikes
  • Tread pattern derived from the Diablo Supercorsa design
  • Racing-derived profile for linear, predictable behaviour through lean transitions
  • Compound developed for wet-weather grip on low-adhesion urban surfaces
  • Even wear and on-road durability suited to daily commuting
  • Tubeless (TL) construction
  • 130/70-17 M/C, load index 62, speed symbol S
  • One Pirelli Diablo Rosso Sport 130/70-17 M/C 62S TL tyre

  • Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician using proper bead-breaking and mounting equipment — do not attempt hand-levering a modern tubeless tyre onto the rim.
  • Observe any directional rotation arrow moulded into the sidewall when fitting, and make sure the balance/alignment dot is positioned as marked.
  • Tubeless fitment requires a sound, clean, airtight rim and a serviceable valve; replace the valve and valve core whenever the tyre is replaced.
  • Ride gently for roughly the first 100 km to scrub in the new tread and release surface finish — avoid hard acceleration, heavy braking and full lean angles until the surface is fully worn in.
  • Check pressures when the tyre is cold, using the pressures specified by your motorcycle manufacturer for this size; pressures rise once the tyre is warm, so never bleed air from a hot tyre.
  • Inspect regularly for cuts, bulges, cracking, uneven wear and embedded stones, nails or glass, and have any suspect damage assessed before riding.
  • Monitor tread depth and replace before it falls to the 1.5 mm minimum required in Australia; also replace the tyre if it has been run flat, punctured in the sidewall or shoulder, or badly kerbed.
  • Do not exceed the load index (62) or speed symbol (S) marked on the sidewall, and match the tyre only to a rim width approved for the size.
  • Keep petrol, oils, brake fluid, solvents and tyre 'shine' dressings off the tread and sidewalls — clean only with mild soapy water and rinse well.
  • Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, heat and electric motors or welding gear that generate ozone.
