- Check tyre pressure regularly using a calibrated gauge — always refer to your motorcycle manufacturer's recommended pressures for the front axle.
- Inspect the tyre before each ride for cuts, embedded objects, cracking, or abnormal bulges; do not ride on a damaged tyre.
- Allow the tyre to reach normal operating temperature gradually, especially in cold or wet conditions — avoid aggressive lean angles until heat is built up.
- In Australia the legal minimum tread depth is 1.5 mm; replace the tyre when tread wear indicators (TWI markers) are reached or tread depth approaches this limit.
- Avoid contact with petroleum products, brake fluid, solvents, and cleaning chemicals that are not tyre-safe — these can degrade the rubber compound.
- Do not mix tyre brands or incompatible compounds on the front and rear axles without consulting fitment guides.
- Store unmounted tyres in a cool, dark, dry place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources (electric motors), and heat; lay flat or hang vertically on a rack.
- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified tyre fitter using appropriate motorcycle tyre equipment — incorrect fitment can cause dangerous handling.
