The Pirelli Diablo Rosso III is a sport tyre built for road riding, drawing on technology Pirelli developed through its involvement in the World Superbike Championship. This is the 180/55ZR17 (73W) tubeless rear fitment, a common size for supersport and naked bikes.
Its bi-compound rear construction pairs a harder central band for stability and mileage with a full-silica shoulder compound, so grip is available from mid lean angle onward. The tread pattern is derived from Pirelli's DIABLO Supercorsa competition tyre, with the distinctive "flash" grooves that clear water effectively in the wet.
The Diablo Rosso III sits in the Diablo road-sport family as the predecessor to the Diablo Rosso IV, and suits riders after race-influenced handling with everyday all-weather usability.

- Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician; this is a tubeless (TL) casing and must be fitted to a rim rated for tubeless use.
- Observe the rotation direction arrow moulded into the sidewall when fitting.
- Scrub in the new tyre gently over the first ride or two before using full lean angles, as the surface is slippery when new.
- Check and adjust inflation pressures when the tyre is cold, using the pressures specified by your motorcycle manufacturer for the load you are carrying.
- Check pressures regularly — under-inflation causes overheating, uneven wear and vague handling; over-inflation reduces the contact patch and grip.
- Allow the tyre to warm up before riding hard, particularly in cold or damp conditions; grip is reduced until the compound reaches operating temperature.
- Inspect regularly for cuts, embedded objects, bulges, sidewall damage and uneven wear, and replace once tread depth reaches the legal minimum or when the wear indicators are reached.
- Do not exceed the load and speed rating marked on the sidewall (73W), and do not fit outside the rim widths approved by Pirelli for this size.
- Clean with mild soapy water and a soft brush only; keep tyre dressings, solvents, petrol, brake cleaner and silicone products off the tread and sidewalls.
- Store spare tyres upright in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and hydrocarbons.
- Have the tyre inspected professionally after any impact with a kerb or pothole, and after a puncture repair — repaired tyres should not be used at sustained high speed.
