- Always have the tyre fitted by a qualified tyre technician using rim-appropriate equipment; never attempt to mount a motorcycle tyre at home.
- Check cold inflation pressure before every ride; refer to your motorcycle manufacturer's handbook for the correct front pressure for this size and load.
- Warm up the tyre gradually for the first several kilometres after fitting or after any period of cold storage — do not push cornering angles or hard braking until the tyre has reached operating temperature.
- Inspect the tread and sidewalls regularly for cuts, cracking, embedded objects or unusual wear patterns; remove any embedded debris and assess whether the tyre requires replacement.
- Replace the tyre when the tread depth reaches the legal minimum of 1.5 mm across the full width in Australia, or when wear indicators (if present) are flush with the tread surface.
- Never use petroleum-based cleaners, tyre-shine sprays, or solvents on the tyre — these degrade the rubber compound; clean with a mild soap solution and rinse with water.
- Store unmounted tyres in a cool, dark, dry environment away from ozone sources (electric motors, compressors) and direct sunlight; lay them flat or hang vertically, not under load.
- Have the wheel re-balanced after fitting to avoid vibration at speed.
- Avoid mixing different tyre brands, models, or constructions on the same motorcycle without consulting the tyre manufacturer's fitment guide.
- Do not overload beyond the rated load index of 59 (243 kg) or exceed the speed rating of W (270 km/h).
