Try both supplied sizes and use the one that seals comfortably in each ear — the left and right ear can take different sizes.
Insert gently with a slight twisting motion; pulling the top of the ear up and back opens the canal and helps the plug seat correctly. Never force them in.
Fit your earplugs before putting your helmet on, and remove them slowly rather than yanking them out.
Clean after use with lukewarm water and a little mild soap, then rinse thoroughly.
Avoid alcohol, solvents, petrol and other harsh cleaners, which can degrade the plugs and the filter.
Let them dry completely before putting them away — storing them damp encourages odour and residue build-up.
Keep them in the key chain case when not in use so they stay clean and don't get crushed in a pocket or tank bag.
Inspect them regularly and replace them if the material hardens, tears, discolours or no longer seals properly.
Do not share earplugs with other riders, for hygiene reasons.
