Penrite Red OEM Coolant Premix is a ready-to-use, type "A" ethylene glycol anti-freeze/anti-boil coolant built on genuine GLYSANTIN® G40® — the same licensed, warranty-approved formulation used for original equipment factory fills. It uses an advanced Si-OAT (Silicate/Organic Acid Technology) inhibitor package that is free of phosphate, amine, borate and nitrite.

Supplied at a 50% concentration and pre-mixed with Penrite de-mineralised water, it pours straight into the cooling system with no further dilution. Use it for a complete service refill or a top-up, or mix it with a compatible type "A" coolant. It suits motorcycles as well as cars, 4WDs, light and heavy commercial vehicles, and construction and agricultural equipment, and is especially suited to European vehicles that were factory-filled with red, magenta or orange coolant.

The extended-life inhibitor system protects cast iron, aluminium, copper and solder alloys along with hoses, seals and plastics, guarding against rust, corrosion, cavitation and coolant degradation — particularly useful for all-aluminium engines working hard in hot or cold extremes. Note that this product replaces Penrite's 8 Year 500,000 km Red Coolant Premix and 6 Year Extended Drain Anti Freeze Anti Boil Coolant.

  • Shake or agitate the bottle lightly, then pour directly into the cooling system — this is a 50% premix and must not be diluted further with water.
  • Flush the cooling system before a complete service refill; a dedicated radiator flush prepares the system for new coolant.
  • Only top up or mix with a compatible type "A" coolant — mixing with incompatible coolant types can drop out the inhibitor package.
  • Maintain a 50% concentration for best anti-freeze, anti-boil and corrosion protection; check concentration and condition periodically with coolant test strips.
  • Never remove the radiator or expansion tank cap while the engine is hot or the system is under pressure — allow it to cool completely first.
  • Bleed air from the cooling system after refilling, then run the engine to operating temperature and re-check the coolant level once cool.
  • Replace at the end of the 8 year / 500,000 km service life, or earlier if the coolant becomes discoloured, cloudy or contaminated.
  • Store sealed in the original container in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, and reseal the cap firmly after use.
  • Ethylene glycol is harmful if swallowed — keep out of reach of children and animals, wash hands after handling and clean up any spills promptly.
  • Do not pour used coolant down drains or onto the ground; dispose of it through an appropriate waste collection facility.
