Description

Oxford stand bobbins thread into the pre-tapped holes in your swingarm and give a rear paddock stand a clean, secure point to lift from. They suit riders who regularly put the bike on a stand for chain maintenance, tyre changes, washing or winter storage, and they make the job quicker and less fiddly than lining up a stand each time.

They're particularly useful on bikes with uneven or shaped swingarms, where bobbins are often the only safe way to use a rear stand. Supplied in M8 x 1.25 thread and finished in black. Frame forks must be fitted to your paddock stand before the bobbins can be used, and you should confirm the correct bolt and thread size for your model with your bike's manufacturer before ordering.

Operations & maintenance

Confirm the correct bolt and thread size for your motorcycle with the manufacturer before fitting — these bobbins are M8 x 1.25 only.
Fit frame forks to your rear paddock stand before attempting to use the bobbins.
Start the threads by hand to avoid cross-threading the swingarm, then tighten securely to your bike manufacturer's specified torque.
Check the bobbins are still tight before every use of the paddock stand, and re-check after the first few uses.
Lift and lower the bike slowly with the stand located squarely on both bobbins, and keep the bike on level ground.
Inspect the bobbins and threads regularly for wear, deformation or damage and replace them if any is found.
Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent; avoid harsh solvents and degreasers, particularly around chain-lube overspray.
Dry the threads and swingarm holes if removing the bobbins for a period, and store them somewhere dry so the threads stay in good condition.
