- Thoroughly clean and degrease the tank surface with isopropyl alcohol before fitting — any residue, wax or grease will significantly reduce adhesive bond strength.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for at least 24 hours after fitting before riding, to achieve full bond strength.
- Press firmly across the entire pad surface during installation, paying particular attention to edges and corners.
- Clean the grips with mild soap and warm water using a soft cloth; do not use petroleum-based solvents, harsh degreasers or abrasive cleaners as these may damage the grip material or adhesive.
- Avoid directing high-pressure water jets at the edges of the pads during washing, as sustained pressure can cause edge lifting over time.
- Periodically inspect the pad edges to confirm they remain fully bonded; press down any lifting sections promptly before they worsen.
- To remove, peel back slowly and evenly from one corner to minimise risk to the underlying paint; use a plastic trim tool rather than metal implements if the pad resists peeling.
