The Oxford Nomad N3 is a compact insulated cool bag built for riders who want to carry food and drinks without them going warm on the way. The insulated liner helps keep contents cool, while padded construction adds a layer of protection for whatever you've packed.

The outer is 600D polyester with a weatherproof backing, and the adjustable carrier design plus included shoulder strap means it can be carried off the bike as easily as it's strapped on. At 3 litres it suits a lunch, a couple of drinks or a track-day snack run rather than a full grocery load.

  • Wipe the insulated liner out with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each use, then leave it open to air dry.
  • Sponge the outer clean with lukewarm water and mild soap; avoid solvents, bleach and harsh cleaners that can damage the weatherproof backing.
  • Do not machine wash or tumble dry, and keep the bag away from direct heat sources when drying.
  • Make sure the bag is completely dry inside before storing, and store it in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to prevent odours and mildew.
  • Use sealed containers or a leak-proof bag for liquids and sauces — the liner is insulated, not designed to hold spills.
  • Add a chilled ice pack and pre-cool the contents before you set off; the liner slows warming rather than actively refrigerating.
  • Keep within the 3 litre capacity so the closure seals properly and the padding can do its job.
  • Check the shoulder strap, stitching and any straps or fasteners for wear before each ride, and make sure the bag is secured so it can't shift or foul the controls.
  • In sustained heavy rain, treat the weatherproof backing as water resistant rather than waterproof and pack anything moisture-sensitive in a separate dry bag.
