- Confirm compatibility with your existing HotGrips Sports controller and wiring harness before fitting — this grip is not interchangeable with other HotGrips series.
- If adhesive is required during installation, allow it to cure fully before switching on the heated function.
- Clean the grip with a damp cloth only; avoid petrol, solvents, or aerosol lubricants on the grip surface, as these degrade the rubber compound.
- Avoid running the heated grip function for extended periods with the engine off, as it draws directly from the battery.
- Inspect the wiring connector and the heating element lead for damage before and after installation.
- If you are not confident in the installation, have a qualified motorcycle technician fit the grip to ensure the electrical connection is secure.
