Oxford Shoulder Armour - CE Level 1

The Oxford Shoulder Armour is a set of CE Level 1 impact protectors designed to drop into the shoulder pockets of Oxford motorcycle riding jackets. It is the straightforward way to add certified impact protection to a jacket that was supplied without armour, or to replace inserts that have been damaged or lost.

The protectors are flexible and lightweight, so they move with the shoulder rather than fighting against it — useful on long rides and in the tucked riding position, where bulky armour tends to make itself known. Suited to road riders and commuters who want the comfort of their existing jacket with a genuine protection upgrade.

Slide each protector into the shoulder pocket of the jacket and make sure it sits flat and centred over the point of the shoulder before riding.
Remove the armour from the jacket before washing the garment.
Clean with a soft cloth and cool water with a little mild soap; wipe dry and allow to air dry fully at room temperature.
Do not use solvents, petrol, bleach or abrasive cleaners, and do not machine wash, tumble dry or iron the protectors.
Keep the armour away from direct heat sources such as heaters, exhausts and hot dashboards, which can distort the material.
Store flat in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight rather than folded or compressed under heavy items.
Inspect regularly for cracks, splits, permanent deformation or hardening, and check that the pocket closures still hold the armour in place.
Replace the armour after any crash or heavy impact, even if no damage is visible.
