- Hand wash only — the manufacturer does not rate these for machine washing.
- Wash in cool water with a mild detergent; avoid bleach and harsh solvents.
- Rinse thoroughly and reshape the tube while damp, then air dry away from direct heat.
- Do not tumble dry or iron — heat can damage the polyester microfibre and its stretch.
- Wash regularly if worn as a face mask, since sweat and sunscreen build up in the fabric.
- Stretch the tube gently over your head rather than dragging it hard by one edge, so the fabric keeps its shape.
- When worn under a helmet, keep the fabric flat and unbunched against the neck and cheeks for comfort and clear vision.
- UPF 17 gives partial UV protection only — on long, bright rides still use sunscreen on exposed skin.
- The fabric is wind-resistant, not waterproof; expect it to soak through in sustained rain, and dry it fully before storing.
- Store clean and dry, rotating between the three Comfys in the pack so each gets a chance to dry out between rides.
