The Oxford Screamer7 is an attack-activated disc lock alarm that adds a loud, obvious deterrent to your parked bike. Its motion and shock sensors trigger a 100dB siren the moment someone tampers with the machine, drawing attention long before a thief can get away with it.
Fitting is quick: the 7mm locking pin passes through a brake disc hole and the body simply pushes shut to lock, so you can secure the bike without fumbling for the key. A water-resistant keyway cover helps keep grit and weather out of the barrel, and the high-visibility yellow and black body doubles as a visual warning.

- Fit the 7mm pin through a hole in the brake disc, positioning the body clear of the caliper, fork leg and any wheel weights or ABS sensor ring.
- Push the body closed to lock and arm the unit; use the key to unlock and disarm.
- Always fit a reminder cable or lanyard between the lock and the handlebar so you cannot ride off with the lock in place.
- Remove the lock before moving or wheeling the bike — riding away with a disc lock fitted can damage the disc, caliper and fork.
- Keep the keyway cover closed whenever the lock is parked up to keep water and road grit out of the barrel.
- Rinse away salt, mud and road grime after wet rides, dry the lock, then wipe the body with a soft damp cloth; avoid solvents and don't aim a pressure washer at the keyway.
- Replace the lithium CR2 battery if the siren sounds weak or the unit stops arming reliably.
- Remove the battery if the lock will be left unused for a long period, and store the lock somewhere dry.
- Keep the spare key somewhere separate from the bike and record the key number for replacements.
- For higher-risk parking, use the Screamer7 together with a chain and lock or a ground anchor rather than relying on the disc lock alone.
