The Oxford HotGrips Pro 2.0 Adventure is the latest generation of Oxford's flagship heated grip, built for adventure and dual-sport riders who want usable warmth without adding a bar-mounted switch. The controller lives inside the clutch-side grip, so heat is adjusted with a press of a button while your hand stays where it belongs.

Each grip is silicone-formed with an adventure-specific tread — hex sections for vibration absorption, knurling for grip surface area, and gripper bars for control on rough terrain. Both grips run their own internal temperature control unit and thermistor, so heat output is measured and adjusted independently as conditions change rather than simply being fed a fixed voltage.

With five heat settings, IP65-rated waterproof construction, heat setting memory and battery-saving modes for both conventional and lithium batteries, this version is aimed squarely at riders working through genuine winter cold in thick gloves.

  • Integrated controller built into the clutch-side grip — no separate handlebar switch
  • Five heat settings: 55°C (red), 50°C (purple), 45°C (green), 40°C (white), 35°C (blue)
  • Multi-coloured LED shows the selected setting, then dims to reduce distraction while riding
  • Independent temperature control unit and thermistor in each grip to hold the selected setting
  • Silicone-formed construction for up to 200% longer grip life without losing comfort or feel
  • Adventure-specific tread: hex pattern for vibration absorption, knurling for surface area, gripper bars for rough terrain
  • 132mm grip length, trimmable to 123mm, 120mm or 117mm
  • Open ends allow bar end weights to be fitted
  • Intelligent heat setting memory recalls the last setting at power-up
  • Battery-saving modes, including a dedicated mode for lithium batteries
  • IP65-rated waterproof connectors and integrated controller
  • Integrated cable strain relief with a compact cable exit
  • Fits 7/8" (22mm) diameter handlebars

  • Confirm your handlebars are 7/8" (22mm) diameter before fitting — these grips are not sized for 1" bars.
  • If your bars are shorter than the standard 132mm grip, trim to 123mm, 120mm or 117mm before installation rather than forcing the grip into place.
  • The grip ends are open, so bar end weights can be refitted — check clearance so the weight does not clamp or pinch the grip body.
  • Route and secure the wiring away from steering stops, moving controls and hot engine or exhaust components, and leave enough slack for full lock-to-lock steering.
  • Make sure the waterproof connectors are fully mated and clicked home; the IP65 rating only holds when connectors are properly seated.
  • Cycle heat settings with the button on the clutch-side grip — the LED colour confirms the level (red hottest through to blue) before dimming, and the last setting is recalled next time you switch on.
  • Select the lithium battery-saving mode if your bike runs a lithium battery, so the grips shut down at the appropriate voltage for that battery type.
  • Switch the grips off when you park; the battery-saving function is a safety net, not a substitute for turning them off.
  • Clean with a damp cloth and mild soapy water only. Avoid petrol, brake cleaner, solvents and chain lube, which degrade the silicone and can leave the grips slippery.
  • Do not aim a high-pressure washer directly at the grips, controller or connectors — IP65 covers low-pressure water jets, not pressure washing.
  • Inspect the grips, cable exit and connectors periodically for chafing, corrosion or loose terminals, particularly after off-road and wet-weather riding.
