The OptiMate 2 Duo x2 Bank is a two-bank battery charger and maintainer from TecMate, designed to look after two 12V batteries at once from a single unit. Each bank delivers up to 2A and supports both standard 12V lead-acid batteries and 12.8V lithium (LFP) batteries.

It suits riders with more than one bike in the shed, or anyone who needs to keep a motorcycle, mower, quad or spare battery topped up over the off-season. Because the two banks work independently, you can connect batteries of different chemistries or states of charge at the same time.

Supplied with an Australian mains plug.

  • Two independent charging banks from one unit
  • 2A maximum charge current per bank
  • Suits 12V lead-acid and 12.8V lithium (LFP) batteries
  • Charges and maintains, so it can stay connected long-term
  • Australian mains plug

  • Read the supplied TecMate instructions before first use and follow the connection order shown for your battery type.
  • Select the correct mode for the battery chemistry on each bank — lead-acid and lithium (LFP) batteries must not be charged on the wrong setting.
  • Connect the charger to the battery first, then switch on at the mains; reverse the order when disconnecting.
  • Each bank works independently, so batteries of different types or states of charge can be connected at the same time.
  • Use indoors or in a dry, sheltered area with good ventilation; keep the unit and leads clear of hot exhausts, moving parts and standing water.
  • Wipe the housing and leads with a dry or lightly damp cloth — do not use solvents, and never hose down the unit.
  • Check leads, clamps and eyelet connectors for damage or corrosion before each use and replace any lead that is cracked or frayed.
  • For long-term storage, the charger can remain connected to maintain the battery; store the unit itself somewhere cool and dry with the leads loosely coiled.
  • Do not attempt to charge a frozen, leaking or visibly damaged battery.
