The NOCO Genius1 is a compact 1-amp smart charger and battery maintainer suitable for 6V and 12V lead-acid batteries as well as 12.8V lithium (LiFePO4) batteries. It suits motorcycles, powersports vehicles, cars, boats, and lawn equipment — any application where a small, reliable charger is needed to keep a battery in peak condition year-round.
Automatic temperature compensation, spark-proof connections, and reverse polarity protection make the Genius1 safe to connect and leave unattended. Its Force Mode can recover deeply discharged batteries that conventional chargers would reject, saving recoverable cells from early replacement.
With an IP65 waterproof and dustproof rating and a universal 100–240V AC input, the Genius1 is equally at home in an Australian home garage or on the road.

- Always connect the charger to the battery before plugging into mains power — red (positive) clamp to positive terminal first, then black (negative) clamp to negative terminal.
- Disconnect from mains power before removing clamps from the battery to avoid arcing.
- Use Force Mode only on deeply discharged or sulfated batteries the charger has rejected in standard mode; do not use it as a routine charge setting.
- For long-term storage, leave the charger connected — the Genius1 will hold the battery at a safe maintenance voltage without overcharging.
- Inspect clamp jaws and cable insulation regularly for corrosion, cracking or damage; replace accessories if compromised.
- When installing ring terminals for a semi-permanent connection (e.g. under a seat), route cables away from heat sources, sharp edges and moving parts.
- Clean the unit exterior with a dry or lightly damp cloth; do not use solvents, degreasers or abrasive materials.
- Despite its IP65 rating, avoid prolonged immersion or high-pressure water jets; store in a dry location when not in use.
