The Nitromousse 5150 Platinum is an 18-inch mousse insert built to run in combination with the Tubliss system rather than replace it. Sitting inside the tyre alongside Tubliss, it adds a further layer of protection and noticeably steadies the carcass, so you can run very low — or even zero — pressure for extra grip.

It suits off-road riders chasing traction on rough, rocky or root-covered terrain who already run Tubliss and want more support and puncture resistance from the setup. The channelled crown is the standout detail: it leaves room for tyre sealant and gives the insert a more progressive feel through the stroke instead of an abrupt, wooden one.

This listing is the Platinum compound; Nitromousse also offers the softer-riding Plushie compound. NitroLube is supplied with the insert to help it last.

Intended to be fitted alongside a correctly installed Tubliss system — set up and inflate the Tubliss high-pressure core to Tubliss's own instructions before relying on the insert.
Use the supplied NitroLube when fitting, and re-lubricate the mousse whenever the tyre is removed or replaced.
The channelled crown leaves room for tyre sealant; add sealant according to the sealant manufacturer's directions.
Fit with proper tyre levers and rim protectors, and take care not to pinch or cut the mousse or the Tubliss liner during installation.
Keep the insert away from fuel, oils, petroleum-based solvents and harsh cleaning chemicals — wipe it down with a clean, damp cloth only.
Inspect the mousse at every tyre change for tears, splits or hardening, and replace it once it has lost its resilience.
Store spare inserts flat and unstressed in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
Running very low or zero pressure is what the setup is built for, but check the tyre bead and Tubliss seal regularly, especially after heavy rock or ledge impacts.
