The Nitromousse Platinum is a flat-proof foam mousse tube that replaces a conventional pneumatic inner tube in a 90/100-21 front wheel. It is moulded from proprietary elastomers containing millions of nitrogen-charged micro-cells, so it supports the tyre without air and cannot puncture or deflate.

The Platinum specification is tuned to simulate a running pressure of 10-12 psi, making it suited to off-road riders who want consistent front-end feel over rocks, roots and other puncture-prone terrain without carrying tubes or repair gear.

Check the Nitromousse fitment guide against your tyre before ordering to confirm compatibility.

  • Flat-proof foam mousse tube - replaces a standard pneumatic inner tube
  • Platinum specification simulates 10-12 psi of tyre pressure
  • Moulded from proprietary elastomers with nitrogen-charged micro-cells
  • Sized for 90/100-21 front wheels
  • Cannot puncture or lose pressure, so no tubes, plugs or pumps needed on the trail
  • One Nitromousse Platinum front mousse tube (90/100-21)

  • Confirm compatibility against the Nitromousse fitment guide before fitting - mousse tubes must be matched to the specific tyre.
  • Fitting is significantly harder than a tube change; have the mousse fitted by an experienced workshop unless you have the correct tyre levers, rim protectors and technique.
  • Use a purpose-made mousse lubricant or gel between the mousse and the tyre carcass at fitment, and re-lube whenever the tyre is removed - running dry causes the foam to overheat and break down.
  • Clean the inside of the tyre and check the rim, rim lock and rim tape for damage or sharp edges before assembly.
  • Avoid tyre levers contacting the mousse directly during fitting; nicks and tears in the foam shorten its life.
  • Expect the mousse to soften with use - it gradually loses its supporting feel rather than deflating, so replace it once the front end feels vague or the foam has visibly collapsed or torn.
  • Inspect the mousse each time the tyre is changed and replace it with a worn-out tyre rather than reusing damaged foam.
  • Store spare mousses flat in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from fuels, solvents and heat sources.
  • Mousse tubes are intended for off-road use; do not treat them as a substitute for a correctly inflated tyre in sustained high-speed road riding.
