The Nitromousse Platinum is a flat-proof foam mousse tube that replaces a conventional pneumatic inner tube in a 90/100-21 front wheel. It is moulded from proprietary elastomers containing millions of nitrogen-charged micro-cells, so it supports the tyre without air and cannot puncture or deflate.

Confirm compatibility against the Nitromousse fitment guide before fitting - mousse tubes must be matched to the specific tyre.
Fitting is significantly harder than a tube change; have the mousse fitted by an experienced workshop unless you have the correct tyre levers, rim protectors and technique.
Use a purpose-made mousse lubricant or gel between the mousse and the tyre carcass at fitment, and re-lube whenever the tyre is removed - running dry causes the foam to overheat and break down.
Clean the inside of the tyre and check the rim, rim lock and rim tape for damage or sharp edges before assembly.
Avoid tyre levers contacting the mousse directly during fitting; nicks and tears in the foam shorten its life.
Expect the mousse to soften with use - it gradually loses its supporting feel rather than deflating, so replace it once the front end feels vague or the foam has visibly collapsed or torn.
Inspect the mousse each time the tyre is changed and replace it with a worn-out tyre rather than reusing damaged foam.
Store spare mousses flat in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from fuels, solvents and heat sources.
