Clean the outer shell using a mild soap solution and a soft damp cloth; never use petrol-based solvents, abrasive pads or aerosol cleaners as these can degrade the shell and finish.
Clean the visor with warm water and a clean microfibre cloth only — wipe gently to avoid introducing scratches that impair vision.
If the interior liner and cheek pads are removable, hand-wash them in cool water with a mild detergent and allow them to air-dry completely before reinserting.
Store the helmet in a protective bag or its original box in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, fuel vapours and chemical exposure.
Inspect the chin-strap webbing, buckle and retention system before each ride; retire the helmet if any fraying, cracking or buckle failure is found.
Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact — internal EPS foam damage is not visible externally but the protection is permanently compromised.
Do not apply paint, adhesive vinyl wraps or non-approved stickers to the shell unless the manufacturer has confirmed compatibility with the shell material.
Replace the visor if it develops deep scratches, crazing or discolouration; compromised optics are a direct safety hazard, particularly at night or in bright sunlight.
