  • Thoroughly clean the master cylinder housing and bore before fitting, removing all traces of old brake fluid, dirt and debris.
  • Inspect the master cylinder bore for scoring, pitting or corrosion prior to installation — a damaged bore will cause premature seal failure and the kit should not be fitted.
  • Lubricate all new rubber seals and cups with fresh, clean brake fluid of the type specified for your motorcycle; do not use grease or petroleum-based lubricants, which will damage rubber components.
  • Replace all seals and rubber components supplied in the kit; do not reuse old seals or mix new and old parts.
  • After reassembly, bleed the brake system fully to purge all air from the hydraulic circuit and confirm firm lever feel before returning the motorcycle to service.
  • Use only the DOT-rated brake fluid grade specified in your motorcycle's service manual; do not mix fluid types or brands.
  • After installation, pump the brake lever repeatedly and inspect all joints and seals for leaks before riding.
  • Replace brake fluid in accordance with your motorcycle manufacturer's service intervals, as moisture absorption degrades braking performance over time.
