The Nelson-Rigg RG-020 is a universal-fit soft saddlebag set built for dual-sport, enduro and adventure riding. Each bag carries 12 litres and expands to 15 litres, so you can run them slim for a day ride and open them up when you need to bring more back with you.

Construction is UV-treated, water-resistant 1680D Tri-Max ballistic nylon with an anti-slip, anti-scratch protective panel on the bike side, reverse coil zippers to help keep dust and grit out, and reflective piping for night-time visibility. A separate tool pouch under the main compartment gives you outside access to spares and tools without unpacking your gear.

Mounting is strap-based rather than rack-specific, using heavy-duty self-fastening straps and quick-release buckles, which suits riders who want luggage that moves between bikes. Backed by the Rigg Gear Lifetime Warranty.

  • Fit the bags with the anti-slip protective panel facing the bike so it sits against the bodywork or subframe, and route the self-fastening straps clear of the exhaust, chain, tyre and any moving suspension components.
  • Pull all straps snug and re-check the quick-release buckles after the first few kilometres of a ride, and again after any rough or corrugated section — soft luggage settles and can loosen.
  • Balance the load between the left and right bag and keep heavier items low and forward; only use the expanded 15-litre setting when the load can still be strapped down firmly.
  • The fabric is water resistant rather than waterproof, so use dry bags or liners inside for clothing, electronics and paperwork in sustained rain or river crossings.
  • Brush off dust and mud, then clean with a soft brush or cloth, mild soap and cool water. Avoid solvents, petrol, bleach and pressure washers, which can damage the coating and stitching.
  • Air dry fully in the shade before packing away, and never dry the bags on or near a hot exhaust or heater.
  • Keep the reverse coil zippers clean; rinse grit out of the teeth and work them gently rather than forcing them when dirty.
  • Store empty, dry and unclipped in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to protect the UV-treated fabric and keep mould out of the seams.
  • Inspect the straps, buckles, stitching and zip pullers periodically for fraying, cracking or wear and replace worn straps before a long trip.
  • Refer to the Nelson-Rigg fitment instructions supplied with the bags for the recommended strapping arrangement on your bike.

Great enduro bags

These bags are great - although generic - they fit the KTM300 EXC TBI 2024 really well.
