Fit the carrier to a tour trunk rack, sissy bar or seat with the quick-release and self-fastening straps, and check every strap is tight and correctly routed before each ride.
Always clip the integrated adjustable leash to a pet harness — never a choke collar — and confirm the two-stage zippers are latched together so they cannot be opened from inside.
Use the first zipper stage on the lid and front panel when riding at speed or in cold weather, and the second stage when you want your pet to look out.
Roll the lid panels back and secure them with the tabs so loose fabric does not flap into your line of sight or catch the wind.
Keep the permanently open side mesh vents clear of straps, luggage and covers so air can always move through the carrier.
Open the mesh front porch once you are stopped and off the bike to give your pet extra room.
Lift out the padded base panel regularly for cleaning, and wipe the UltraMax outer with a damp cloth and mild soap rather than solvents or harsh detergents.
