The MTX Power XTZ4L Max is a 12V AGM (absorbed glass mat) battery built as an install-and-go replacement for machines that call for a TZ4L-size battery. Absorbed glass mat construction holds the electrolyte in the separator rather than as free liquid, which supports stronger cranking output and a longer service life than a comparable conventional battery.
Internally, straight-through welding shortens the current path and cuts internal resistance, so more of the battery's stored energy reaches the starter motor. Fully welded joints also help the battery cope with the constant vibration of a running engine, making it a sensible choice for small-capacity motorcycles, scooters and similar 12V applications where space is tight.

- Before fitting, compare the 113 x 70 x 85 mm case size and the terminal positions with your original battery so it sits correctly in the tray.
- Check the resting voltage before installation and give the battery a top-up charge with an AGM-compatible charger if it has been in storage.
- When removing the old battery, disconnect the negative lead first and reconnect the negative last on the new one to avoid shorting against the frame.
- Keep the terminals and leads clean and dry, and tighten the terminal screws firmly by hand — over-tightening can strip or distort the terminal.
- Secure the battery with the original strap or bracket so it cannot move; vibration and impact shorten the life of any battery.
- Charge only with a lead-acid or AGM-compatible charger or maintenance charger. Do not use a lithium charging mode or a high-output boost/jump charger.
- If the bike is ridden infrequently or stored over winter, keep the battery on a suitable maintenance charger or charge it periodically — leaving any AGM battery flat for long periods causes permanent capacity loss.
- Store and transport the battery upright in a cool, dry place, away from sparks, flames and direct heat.
- Repeated slow cranking, dim lights or a battery that will not hold charge usually points to a charging-system fault — have the regulator/rectifier and stator checked rather than simply replacing the battery again.
- Do not put the battery in general waste at end of life; drop it at a battery recycling point or return it to us for recycling.
