  • Break the strip into the required number of 7g segments to achieve the target balance weight.
  • Clean the wheel rim surface thoroughly with an alcohol-based cleaner and allow to dry fully before fitting — any grease or dirt will reduce adhesion.
  • Apply weights to the inside of the rim where possible to protect them from road debris and kerbing.
  • Press the weight firmly along its full length for several seconds to ensure good contact with the rim surface.
  • After fitting, check balance again before riding to confirm the weights have been seated correctly.
  • Inspect weights periodically, particularly after off-road or heavy use, to confirm none have lifted or become dislodged.
  • Do not reuse weights that have been removed — adhesion is compromised once the backing has been disturbed.
  • Store unused segments in a cool, dry location away from moisture to prevent surface corrosion.
