Motul A3 Air Filter Oil is a blue-coloured lubricant made for foam air filters, and it is a staple of dirt bike, enduro and quad maintenance. A clean, correctly oiled filter keeps dust, mud and sand out of the intake, which is where engine life is won or lost on Australian trails and tracks.
The blue tint makes it easy to see where the oil has soaked through, so you can work it evenly through the foam without over-saturating. The formula resists clogging and limits restriction across the filter, helps keep water out during creek crossings, and dries quickly so the filter can go back in without drips. Supplied in a 1 litre bottle, enough for many re-oils across a season.

- Remove the air filter from the airbox and clean it thoroughly with a dedicated air filter cleaner before every re-oil — never apply fresh oil over a dirty filter.
- Allow the cleaned foam to dry completely before oiling.
- Pour the oil onto the foam and massage it through by hand until the blue colour shows even coverage across the whole element; squeeze out any excess.
- Let the oiled filter dry for at least 10 minutes before refitting so it does not drip into the intake.
- Intended for foam filter elements — check compatibility before using it on any other filter type.
- Re-oil at the intervals in your machine's service schedule, and more often after dusty, muddy or sandy rides.
- Wear gloves when handling and washing, and keep the bottle closed when not in use.
- Store the bottle upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
- Dispose of used oil, cleaner and rags responsibly through an oil recycling or waste collection facility — never down a drain.
