Motul 7100 4T 5W-40 is a fully synthetic four-stroke motorcycle engine oil designed for high-performance road bikes and sports machines. Its ester-based full synthetic formulation delivers strong film strength, thermal stability and engine protection across a wide temperature range.

The 5W-40 viscosity grade provides reliable cold-start performance and maintains robust protection at operating temperature. The oil is compatible with wet-clutch and shared-sump gearbox systems, making it suitable for a broad range of modern four-stroke motorcycle engines.

  • Always consult your motorcycle's owner manual for the manufacturer-specified oil change interval and the correct viscosity grade before selecting an oil.
  • Warm the engine to operating temperature before draining old oil — warm oil flows freely and carries more contaminants out with it.
  • Replace the oil filter at every oil change; reusing an old filter immediately contaminates fresh oil.
  • After filling, run the engine briefly, then shut it off and wait a moment before rechecking the level via the sight glass or dipstick — do not overfill.
  • Do not mix with other oil grades or brands unless unavoidable in an emergency; if mixing occurs, change the oil as soon as practicable.
  • Store unused oil in a cool, dry location with the cap tightly sealed to prevent moisture ingress and oxidation.
  • Check the oil level regularly between scheduled changes, particularly on high-revving or high-performance engines that may consume small amounts of oil.
  • Dispose of used engine oil responsibly by taking it to a designated waste oil collection facility — do not pour down drains or onto soil.

Motul 7100 is the best motorcycle oil money can buy,I've used all the top brands over the years, and the engines on my Suzuki hayabusa and my BMW r1200r are much smoother and quieter. I will always use this oil and highly recommend.
