The Motorex Air Filter (MOT154115) is a direct-fit replacement element for KTM off-road motorcycles across the 85 to 500 class, covering model years 2011 to 2015. It uses a 3-pin connection to seat securely in the airbox without modification.

Inspect the air filter before every ride and after any outing in muddy, sandy or heavily dusty conditions — a clogged filter starves the engine and causes damage.
Clean using a dedicated foam air filter cleaner or mild degreaser; work the product gently through the element, rinse thoroughly with water, and allow to dry completely before re-oiling.
Apply a quality foam filter oil evenly across the entire element; work it in by hand to ensure no dry patches remain, then allow any excess to drain for several minutes before installation.
Confirm the 3-pin connector is fully engaged and the filter sits flush and square in the airbox — any gap allows unfiltered air to bypass the element and enter the engine.
Inspect the filter element for tears, holes or deformation after cleaning; a damaged filter must be replaced immediately regardless of how little service time it has seen.
Check the airbox lid seals and any surrounding gaskets each time the filter is removed to ensure no dirt ingress path exists once the lid is refitted.
Store spare filters in a sealed plastic bag away from direct sunlight, heat sources and petroleum-based products to prevent premature deterioration of the foam.
