The Motocell Lithium Gold MLG14B is a 48Wh LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) powersports battery designed as a direct upgrade from conventional lead-acid units. - Use only a charger rated for LiFePO4 chemistry — standard lead-acid or AGM chargers may damage the battery or reduce its lifespan.
- Do not allow the battery to fully discharge; LiFePO4 cells can be permanently damaged by deep over-discharge.
- If storing the motorcycle for an extended period, disconnect the battery or use a LiFePO4-compatible maintenance charger to avoid over-discharge.
- Keep terminals clean and free of corrosion; apply a light coat of dielectric grease to terminals after fitting.
- Secure the battery firmly in its tray — vibration can loosen terminals and cause intermittent starting faults.
- Avoid storing or operating the battery in environments with sustained extreme heat or cold beyond the manufacturer's rated range.
- Do not short-circuit the terminals or expose the battery to impact or crushing force.
- Inspect terminal connections and cabling for wear or looseness at each service interval.
