- Charge only with a charger explicitly rated for LiFePO4 chemistry; using a conventional lead-acid charger can damage the battery or create a safety hazard.
- Do not attempt to charge the battery if it is frozen or has been stored in temperatures below 0 °C — allow it to return to ambient temperature first.
- Keep the terminal connections clean and free of corrosion; apply a small amount of dielectric grease to terminals after installation to prevent oxidation.
- If the motorcycle is to be stored for an extended period, disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- LiFePO4 batteries have a low self-discharge rate but should still be checked periodically during long-term storage and topped up if voltage drops below the manufacturer's recommended storage voltage.
- Do not short-circuit the terminals or attempt to disassemble, modify, or puncture the battery casing.
- Always observe correct polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative) when installing; reverse polarity can permanently damage the battery and the motorcycle's electrical system.
- Do not expose the battery to water ingress or immerse it in liquid.
