Before installation, compare the replacement cable length and end fittings against the original to confirm correct fitment.
Route the cable following the original OEM path, avoiding sharp bends, kinks, or contact with hot engine components.
After fitting, check that the throttle opens fully and snaps closed immediately when released with the handlebars turned to full lock in both directions.
Lubricate the cable inner wire with a dedicated cable lubricant before installation and periodically during service life.
Inspect the cable for fraying, kinking, or corrosion at each service interval and replace at the first sign of deterioration.
Ensure the throttle freeplay is adjusted to manufacturer specification (refer to your TRX450R service manual) after installation.
Store spare cables coiled loosely in a clean, dry location away from solvents and direct sunlight.
