Before installation, clean the handlebar thoroughly to remove dirt, grease and debris.
Apply a light film of appropriate throttle or cable grease to the inside of the tube and the handlebar prior to fitting to ensure smooth rotation.
After fitting, check that the throttle rotates freely through its full range and snaps back to closed position without hesitation.
Ensure the grip is correctly seated and secured over the tube before riding.
Periodically inspect the tube for cracks, deformation or stiffness; replace immediately if any damage is found.
Do not use petroleum-based solvents to clean plastic throttle components, as these can cause degradation.
