MO-Tech Foam Filter Clean - 1L

Mo-Tech Foam Filter Clean is a one-litre filter cleaner made for servicing reusable foam air filter elements. It lifts old filter oil and trapped dirt out of the foam so the element can be dried and re-oiled, ready to go back in the airbox.

The formulation is designed to be safe on the filter itself — it removes oil and grime without breaking down the foam or the adhesive holding the element together. That makes it a sensible workshop consumable for riders who clean their own filters regularly, particularly on dirt, enduro and adventure bikes.

This is a Class 3 flammable liquid. Read the label directions and safety instructions before use.

  • Read the directions on the product label before use — the label instructions take precedence over any general guidance.
  • Use in a well-ventilated area, away from heat, sparks, naked flames and other ignition sources; do not smoke while handling. This is a Class 3 flammable liquid.
  • Wear suitable gloves and eye protection, and avoid prolonged skin contact.
  • Use only on foam filter elements. For paper, pleated or cotton-gauze filters, use a cleaner made for that element type.
  • Work the cleaner through the foam gently rather than wringing or twisting hard, which can tear the element or lift the glued seam.
  • Let the element dry completely before re-oiling and refitting — trapped solvent and damp foam both compromise filtration and can be a fire risk.
  • Inspect the element while it is clean: replace it if you find tears, thin spots, hardened foam or a lifting glue joint.
  • Clean the air filter at the interval specified by your motorcycle manufacturer, and more often after riding in dusty, sandy or muddy conditions.
  • Store upright in the original container with the cap firmly closed, in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place out of direct sunlight and away from ignition sources.
  • Dispose of used cleaner, contaminated rags and rinse residue in line with local regulations — never tip it down a stormwater drain or onto the ground.
