Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician using the correct machinery and a compatible tubeless rim.
Observe the run-in period recommended by the manufacturer: ride gently and avoid hard acceleration, heavy braking and deep lean angles until the mould release finish has scrubbed off and the surface is fully bedded in.
Check and set cold inflation pressure to the figures specified on your motorcycle's tyre placard or in the owner's manual, and re-check it regularly — under-inflation causes irregular wear, heat build-up and poor handling.
Inspect the tread and sidewalls before rides for cuts, embedded objects, bulges, cracking or uneven and cupped wear.
Replace the tyre before it reaches the minimum legal tread depth of 1.5 mm across the tread face required in Australia, and replace it sooner if the wear indicators are reached or damage is found.
Do not exceed the load index and speed symbol marked on the sidewall (57V), and keep within the load limits set by your motorcycle manufacturer.
Expect reduced grip on cold or wet roads, on painted lines, tram tracks and metal covers, and ride accordingly.
Clean with water and mild soap only; keep petrol, oil, brake fluid, solvents and tyre dressings off the tread and sidewalls.
When storing the bike or a spare tyre, keep it in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight, ozone sources such as electric motors, and sharp objects; support the bike so the tyre is not resting under load for long periods.
After any impact with a kerb or pothole, or any puncture repair, have the tyre inspected by a professional before further riding.
