The Metzeler Enduro 3 Sahara is an on/off-road enduro tyre built for riders who split their time roughly fifty-fifty between sealed roads and the dirt. This is the 140/80-18 70S rear fitment in tube type (TT) construction, suiting enduro, trail and adventure machines running an 18-inch spoked rear wheel with an inner tube.

Its knobbed tread pattern is designed to clear soft and muddy ground quickly, while a dedicated compound keeps cornering grip predictable once you're back on the bitumen. Have the tyre fitted and balanced by a qualified motorcycle tyre technician — this is a tube type (TT) tyre and must be run with an inner tube, not fitted tubeless.
Fit a new inner tube and check the rim tape, rim lock and spoke tension whenever the tyre is changed; an old tube in a new tyre is a common cause of early failure.
Mount the tyre so the rotation arrow on the sidewall matches the wheel's direction of travel.
Allow a running-in period on a new tyre: ride gently and avoid hard acceleration, heavy braking and full lean angles until the fresh tread surface has scrubbed in.
Check cold inflation pressures regularly and set them to the pressures specified by your motorcycle's manufacturer for the load you are carrying.
If you drop pressures for off-road traction, stay within safe limits and reinflate to road pressures before riding on sealed surfaces at speed.
Inspect the tread and sidewalls often for cuts, splits, embedded stones, torn knobs and bulges, and replace the tyre once tread depth reaches the legal minimum in your state.
Do not exceed the tyre's load and speed rating, and avoid fitting a repaired or damaged tube.
Store spare tyres in a cool, dry, dark place, away from direct sunlight, solvents, fuels and electric motors that generate ozone.
After any impact, kerb strike or heavy landing, have the tyre, tube and rim checked before riding again.
