- Wipe the boot exterior with a soft damp cloth after each ride; avoid petroleum-based solvents or harsh detergents that can degrade waterproof membranes and adhesives.
- If the boots become saturated, allow them to dry naturally at room temperature — keep them away from direct heat sources such as radiators or hair dryers, which can warp materials and damage the waterproof lining.
- To restore water repellency over time, apply a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray approved for use on motorcycle footwear, following the spray manufacturer's directions.
- D3O® armour inserts do not require removal or special maintenance under normal use; inspect them periodically for cracking or deformation and replace if physically damaged.
- Store in a cool, dry location out of direct sunlight; UV exposure can degrade materials and colourfastness over time.
- Inspect buckles, zips, and closures regularly for wear or corrosion; lubricate zip sliders with a silicone-based product if they become stiff.
- Check the soles periodically for wear, particularly around heel and toe strike zones; excessive sole wear affects both grip and protection.
- After riding in saltwater or heavy mud, rinse the boots with fresh water and dry naturally before storing.
