The Motobatt MBZLJS7500B is a compact lithium jump starter that doubles as a USB power bank, sized to live under a seat, in a tail bag or in a glovebox. With 400A starting current and 800A peak, it has the grunt to turn over a flat 12V motorcycle or car battery, and at 300g it adds almost nothing to your kit.

It suits riders who tour, commute or head off the beaten track, as well as anyone running a bike that sits unused between rides. Beyond jump starting, the 5V/2.1A USB output tops up a phone or tablet, and the built-in LED torch with illumination, strobe and SOS modes is handy for roadside repairs after dark.

Recharges from any standard USB outlet and ships in a hard case with clamps and cables included.

Charge the unit fully before first use — a full charge from flat takes about 6 hours from a standard 5V/1.5A USB outlet.
Check the charge indicator before you ride; jump starting from a low state of charge may not turn the engine over.
Plug the jumper clamp lead into the unit first, then connect red to the battery positive terminal and black to negative before attempting the start.
Disconnect the clamps promptly once the engine fires, and unplug the lead from the unit before packing it away.
Use it only on 12V vehicle systems — it is not suited to 6V or 24V batteries.
Recharge the unit periodically during long periods of storage so the lithium cells are not left sitting flat.
Keep it within its -20°C to 60°C operating range; avoid leaving it on a hot bike or in a parked car in summer.
Store it in the supplied hard case to protect the clamps, ports and cables from vibration, moisture and grit.
Wipe the housing and clamp jaws with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth — do not use solvents, and never hose it down or submerge it.
Keep the clamp jaws clean and free of battery corrosion so they make solid contact, and stop using the unit if the case, leads or clamps are damaged.
