When you need to charge or maintain your battery, simply plug the lead into your compatible Motobatt charger — no need to access the battery terminals each time.

- Attach the 6mm ring terminals directly to your battery's positive and negative posts, ensuring a firm, rattle-free connection.
- Route the cable away from moving parts, hot exhaust surfaces, and sharp edges before securing with cable ties.
- Inspect the lead and ring terminals for signs of corrosion, cracking or fraying before each use; replace the lead if any damage is found.
- Keep the charger connector end clean and dry when not in use; store the dangling connector in a protected location under the seat or behind a fairing panel.
- Do not exceed the current rating of an 18AWG lead; use only with low-current battery chargers and maintainers, not high-output boost chargers.
- When disconnecting the charger, pull by the connector body — not the cable — to avoid stressing the terminal crimps.
- Store any unused length of cable loosely coiled; avoid tight bends that can fatigue the insulation over time.
