Motobatt batteries are built using Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) technology, a design that has revolutionised the motorcycle, ATV, lawnmower, and small engine industries. Featuring QuadFlex technology, each battery incorporates a unique four-terminal design with two positive and two negative terminals, plus height spacers to allow for an almost universal fit. All Motobatt AGM batteries are maintenance-free, non- hazardous, non-spillable, and come fully charged and ready to install straight out of the box.

Each battery plate is wrapped in a fibrous glass mat that absorbs all liquid electrolytes and cushions the plates to prevent vibration damage. This design minimises the risk of short circuits or broken plate welds, common causes of battery failure. The thicker, heavier plates used in Motobatt’s construction further enhance durability and performance.

Compared to standard wet-flooded batteries, AGM batteries have a significantly lower self-discharge rate. As a high amp-hour AGM battery, Motobatt can discharge more deeply and recover repeatedly under vehicle alternator charging or through maintenance charging, something conventional flooded batteries cannot endure without premature failure.
