The Motobatt Pro Lithium MLX4L-HPL is a compact lithium replacement battery for motorcycles, built to deliver strong cranking current in a package that weighs considerably less than an equivalent lead-acid battery. On-board electronics do the housekeeping: a Cell Balancing Circuit keeps the cells even, a Protection Circuit Board guards against abuse, and an integrated LED indicator reports voltage and state of charge at a glance. Lithium batteries are not a universal drop-in. Check the case dimensions, terminal position and your bike's charging system against your machine's original battery before ordering, and use a lithium-compatible charger.

Charge only with a charger that has a dedicated lithium (LiFePO4) mode — lead-acid, desulphating or pulse chargers can damage the cells.
Check the built-in LED indicator for voltage and state of charge before and after long periods off the bike.
Fit the battery the right way around and confirm terminal polarity and position against your original battery before connecting.
Do not overtighten the terminal bolts; snug them by hand until firm, and keep the terminals clean and dry.
Pack out any spare space in the battery tray with foam or the supplied spacers so the case cannot move or vibrate against the frame.
If the bike is stored, top the battery up first and either disconnect the negative lead or use a lithium-compatible maintenance charger; avoid leaving it flat.
In cold conditions, switch the ignition on and run the headlight or another small load for around 30 seconds before cranking to warm the cells.
Have the bike's charging system checked if the battery repeatedly runs down — over- or under-charging shortens lithium battery life.
Keep the battery dry and away from direct heat; never puncture, crush, short or incinerate it, and recycle it through a lithium battery collection point at end of life.
