Motobatt Pro Lithium Battery MLTZ14S-HP *4

The Motobatt Pro Lithium MLTZ14S-HP is a lightweight lithium powersports battery from Motobatt's HP Series, built as a direct replacement in applications that call for a TZ14S-size battery. It is supplied with a box quantity of four.

HP Series is the more comprehensively protected of Motobatt's two Pro Lithium ranges: where the P Series covers overcharging, temperature protection and cell balancing, the HP Series adds over-discharge protection as well. An internal protection board watches pack and individual cell voltages, while the cell balancing circuit evens out voltage across cells to keep capacity and service life consistent over time.

Suited to road, sport and adventure riders chasing a weight saving over a conventional lead-acid battery without changing the mounting arrangement — foam spacers are specified so the battery can be packed out to suit several common case sizes.

Charge and maintain with a lithium-compatible charger — Motobatt recommends its Tech 1 or Fat Boy chargers for best performance and service life.
Do not charge a lithium battery on a lead-acid charger mode that exceeds the pack's limits; overcharge protection cuts in at 15.6 V pack or 3.90 V per cell.
Avoid deep discharge. Protection activates below 8.0 V held for more than 7 seconds, so switch off ignition, alarms and accessories when the bike is parked.
On bikes left standing for long periods, disconnect the battery or keep it on a suitable maintenance charger rather than letting it sit flat.
Pack the battery out with the supplied spacer sizes so it sits tight in the tray and cannot move or vibrate against the terminals.
Fit the terminal hardware securely and check tightness periodically — loose terminals cause heat and voltage drop.
Keep the case and terminals clean and dry; wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth and do not hose the battery area directly.
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
Do not open, pierce, drop or modify the battery; if the case is damaged, swollen or leaking, stop using it.
Check resting voltage occasionally during storage and top up with the recommended charger before it falls into over-discharge protection.
