The Motobatt MB7U is a sealed 12V AGM powersports battery built around Motobatt's patented QuadFlex terminal layout — two positive and two negative posts — so a single part number covers a wide spread of motorcycle, scooter, ATV and small-engine fitments, and leaves spare posts free for accessory wiring. It is a direct replacement in applications calling for a YT7B-BS style battery.

Each plate is wrapped in absorbed glass mat, which holds the electrolyte and cushions the plates against vibration — a common cause of shorted plates and broken welds in traditional flooded batteries. The thicker plates and higher amp-hour rating also let the MB7U handle repeated deep cycling and recover under alternator or maintenance charge.

It arrives factory activated: pre-conditioned, fully charged and ready to bolt in with no acid filling. Because it holds no free liquid acid, it can be shipped by courier and mounted in any orientation.

  • Patented QuadFlex four-terminal design — two positive, two negative posts for multi-fit versatility
  • Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) construction for vibration resistance and longer service life
  • Factory activated — pre-charged and ready to install straight out of the box
  • Maintenance free: no acid handling, no fluid top-ups, no terminal gassing
  • Fully sealed and non-spill — can be mounted and transported in any position
  • 12V, 7Ah at C(10) and 7.4Ah at C(20)
  • 100A cold cranking amps (CCA), 158A MCA and 324A pulse hot cranking amps
  • Thick, heavy plates suited to repeated deep discharge and recharge cycling
  • Lower self-discharge rate than conventional flooded batteries
  • Spare terminals allow easy connection of accessories
  • Contains no liquid acid, so it can be sent by standard courier
  • Motobatt MB7U QuadFlex AGM battery
  • 2 x terminals, M5 x 2.5 (MPT1)
  • 4 x screws, M5 x 7 (2 x MPS1)
  • 1 x 3 x 3 Allen wrench (MPAK1)
  • 2 x terminal caps, 11 x 5.5 (MPC1)

  • No activation or initial charging is required — the MB7U ships factory activated and fully charged, so it can be installed straight from the box.
  • Check the battery box dimensions (151 x 65 x 94 mm) and terminal orientation against your bike before fitting; this model is supplied without height spacers.
  • Fit the supplied M5 terminals with the M5 x 7 screws and the included 3 x 3 Allen wrench. Tighten firmly by hand only — over-torquing can strip or damage the posts.
  • Connect the positive lead first and disconnect it last. Fit the supplied terminal caps over the unused posts to prevent accidental shorting.
  • The spare positive and negative posts can be used for accessory leads; keep total accessory draw within your charging system's capacity.
  • Secure the battery in its tray with the factory strap or holder so it cannot move — AGM plates resist vibration well, but a loose battery can chafe wiring or crack the case.
  • Never open the case, add water or top up electrolyte. The battery is sealed and maintenance free.
  • Recharge with an AGM-compatible charger or a smart maintenance charger. Do not use a high-current, unregulated or manual charger, as excessive voltage will damage AGM plates.
  • If the bike is stored or ridden infrequently, keep the battery on a maintenance charger or recharge it periodically — AGM self-discharge is low but not zero, and letting it sit flat shortens its life.
  • Wipe the case and terminals with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid solvents and keep the posts free of grime and moisture.
  • Store off the vehicle in a cool, dry place and recharge before returning it to service after a long lay-up.
  • Do not dispose of the battery in general waste — return it to a battery recycler or collection point.
