The Motobatt MB3U is a sealed 12-volt AGM battery from the QuadFlex powersports range, built for small-capacity motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and small-engine equipment that call for a compact case with strong starting punch.
Absorbed Glass Mat construction holds the electrolyte in fibrous glass matting between thick plates, so the battery is fully sealed, non-spill and far more resistant to the vibration that shortens the life of conventional flooded batteries. Self-discharge is lower than a wet cell, and the battery tolerates deeper discharge and repeated recovery under alternator or maintenance charging.
It arrives factory activated — pre-conditioned, charged and ready to install straight from the box, with no acid to handle and no fluid levels to top up. Because there is no free liquid acid, it can be sent by standard courier.

- Supplied factory activated and fully charged — install it as-is; no filling, initial charging or acid handling is required.
- Check the battery box dimensions and terminal positions against your bike before fitting; this model uses two threaded flag terminals and no height spacers.
- Fit the supplied M5x7 screws with the included 3mm Allen key and tighten only until snug — over-torquing can damage the terminal inserts.
- Disconnect the negative lead first when removing the battery and reconnect it last when refitting, to reduce the risk of a short across the frame.
- As a sealed non-spill unit it can be mounted in any position, but keep it clear of exhaust heat and secure it so it cannot move under vibration.
- Never add acid or water, and do not attempt to open the case — the electrolyte is absorbed in the glass mat separators.
- Only charge with a charger that has an AGM or sealed lead-acid setting, and follow that charger's instructions; unregulated or automotive fast chargers can overheat and damage AGM batteries.
- On bikes used infrequently, keep the battery topped up with an AGM-compatible maintenance charger rather than letting it sit flat, and recharge before storing for extended periods.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources; self-discharge is lower than a flooded battery but is still faster in warm conditions.
- Keep the terminals clean and dry, and have the bike's charging system checked if the battery repeatedly goes flat — a faulty regulator or a parasitic drain will shorten the life of any battery.
- Recycle the battery through a lead-acid battery collection point at end of life; do not place it in general waste.
